The Opera web browser has announced the upcoming versions of the Opera browser for PC. It will be able to utilize the Android cryptocurrency wallet to make payments directly from the desktop.
The new feature will be considered safer and efficient for Opera users as it allows them to store and use cryptos directly in the browser rather than have to install extensions or applications.
To make Ethereum payments directly from the desktop, users will need to link their Opera for PC browsers with the Opera for Android mobile browser by scanning a QR code.
Once the QR code is scanned, desktop users will be able to make payments to Dapps, or decentralized apps that run on the Ethereum blockchain, simply by clicking on the pay button for the service.
The determination to launch the desktop version of Opera’s mobile crypto wallet is yet another step towards meeting the company’s long-term goals that target to satisfy more users’ requests.
The built-in mobile crypto wallet was released by Opera in private beta about a month ago. Currently, the application accepts ETH, ERC-20 tokens and ERC-721 collectibles, with more digital assets coming in the near future.
